VIP Cleaning Ser vices(uk) Limited was established in October 2002 by Stephen Williamson. It is a family owned and operated business, based in Redditch, Worcestershire, with an aim to provide a quality, value for money service to both commercial and domestic customers.

Stephen started his working life as a jockey, having 18 rides professionally. He then worked a press at a local factory whilst training in IT at college. He then spent 17 years as a computer programmer, contracting for 13 years. When contracts were scarce in the IT trade, he set up a cleaning company with a friend, which is now thriving, however, Steve left the company and returned to IT. In 2002 IT contracts became few and far between. With his daughter at university and a mortgage to pay, Steve decided to do it all again and so started VIP Cleaning Services Limited.

Steve started off on his own with only one contract for a housing assocation. When Steve couldn’t cope with the work load, his wife Janice and daughter Sarah helped out, and as the company grew he was able to take on staff to cover new contracts.

In 2003, Steve’s daughter Sarah decided she no longer wanted to persue a music degree at university, and began working with Steve part time, doing the accounts and helping out at busy times whilst working full time as a credit controller and studying accounting at college. In 2004 Sarah chose to join the company full time as work was flooding in, and together, they are still taking the company from strength to strength.

Sarah is now office based, and over sees marketing and sales, accounts and HR. Steve is very much hands on. He is usually supervising on site, and is responsible for quotations and tenders.
